Below are some easy exercises to help get relief from varicose veins pain. On doing it regularly, the patient can also see an improvement in his condition.   1. Calf Raises
  • Stand straight
  • Lift your heels and stand on the toes
  • Hold this position for 10 to 15 seconds
  • Get back to the initial position and repeat.
  1. Backward Leg Raises
  • Lie on your stomach with both hands on the forehead.
  • With legs joined together, raise your legs at 30 degrees, make sure to not fold the knees
  • Do this slowly to prevent the muscles from being damaged in the process.
  • Hold in position for 10 seconds
  • Get back to normal position and repeat.
  1. Lateral Raises
  • Lie sideways and keep one hand to support the head and the other hand straight on the floor.
  • Slowly, lift one leg to top and form a 45 degree angle
  • Hold to this position for 10 seconds
  • Get back to normal position and repeat.
  1. Air Cycling
  • Lie on your back. Choose a soft surface to lie on for this position.
  • Lift both of your legs, fold your knees at 60 degree angle
  • Push one leg forward in the air and then pull it back
  • Repeat the same with the other leg and then continue to perform in circular motions as when riding a bicycle.
  1. Side Lunges
  • Stand straight with legs apart at a shoulder length distance and keep your arms on the hips.
  • Lift one leg and place it further while bending the knees.
  • Hold for 10 seconds and then bring back to the starting position
  • Repeat with the other leg
  1. Ankle Rotation
  • Lie down on your back.
  • Lift your left leg up till your chest , with both of your knees folded
  • Hold to this position and rotate your ankles 5 times in the clockwise direction and then 5 times anti-clockwise to the other direction
  • Repeat the same with the other leg
  1. Leg Lifts
  • Lie on the back on a soft surface and keep both legs straight and hands on the sides
  • Lift one leg up and make a perpendicular to the floor
  • Hold on to this position
  • Stay put in the posture for 15 seconds
  • Bring your leg back to the initial position and then repeat with the other leg
