9 Honeymoon Essentials to Pack for Your Beach Holiday

Did you recently get married?

Congratulations!

Hopefully, you’re already planning the perfect honeymoon to a beautiful beach destination.

No need to stress. We’ve got the honeymoon essentials you need to pack to ensure the best trip possible.

What Are the Honeymoon Essentials You Will Need?

The first thing to remember is that this is your honeymoon. The most essential thing is that you relax and enjoy yourselves as a newly married couple.

So here is our list of essentials to help ensure that that happens:

  1. Documents and ID

These are the absolute essentials.

You’ll need airline tickets or confirmation, any reservations confirmations, your driver’s license, your passport and visas (where applicable), and ID tags for your luggage.

Be sure to make two sets of photocopies of all of the above.

  1. Important Phone Numbers

Gather up the phone numbers for your family members, your doctor, anybody who may be watching your pets or house, and your bank and credit card companies.

Write these down and put the list somewhere safe. Because if something happens to your phone, you’ll want to have these numbers.

  1. Health-Related

Don’t forget prescription medications and other items such as aspirin, allergy medications, antiacids, and any vitamins or supplements you currently take.

You may also want to pack a small first aid kit with band-aids.

  1. Beach Basics

If you’re planning to spend any time on the beach, you’ll want to include all of the basics:

  • Sunscreen (with adequate SPF)
  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Bathing suit
  • A book
  • Sandals

You can always buy snorkels, an umbrella and other “toys” once you’re there.

  1. Bathroom Items

Of course, you’ll want a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and you’re favorite cosmetics.

The beach and the sun can be rough on your hair, so be sure to bring hair styling products and accessories.

To keep your skin smooth and showing off any ink you might have, don’t forget the razor and moisturizing lotions.

Depending on your accommodations, shampoo, conditioner, and soap may come with your room.

  1. Perfect Clothes for Her

Even if you’re going deep into the tropics or zipping around visiting unique port destinations on a cruise to Mexico, it’s a good idea to have a few warmer articles such as a pair of leggings, light jacket/cardigan, and a couple of pairs of socks.

Evenings can sometimes get cool.

For the heat of the day, you’ll want to be armed with 2 swimsuits, 4 casual shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, a basic dress or two, and sandals. If space allows, toss in some walking shoes.

Finally, be sure you have enough bras, underwear, and accessories. But don’t get weighed down by them.

  1. Best Clothes for Him

If you’re like most men, you should be able to get by with:

  • 1 swimsuit
  • a pair of jeans
  • a pair of slacks
  • 4 casual shirts
  • 2 pairs of shorts
  • a sports jacket
  • a light jacket
  • 1 pair of sandals
  • 1 pair of walking shoes
  • extra socks and underwear

If you’re something of a clothes hound, you’ll have to tone it down a bit.

  1. The Extras

If you’ve still got some space in your luggage, think about what you use somewhat regularly. It could be those little things like an extra pair of glasses, eye drops, earplugs, a book light, etc.

Be sure to give this some thought because these so-called little things could be what you miss the most.

  1. Good Times and Laughter

And these don’t take any space at all, so there’s no reason not to bring them!

Have a Wonderful Honeymoon

Now that you know the honeymoon essentials you need to pack, the only other thing you need to do is get ready to relax and enjoy yourself.
